Military & Commercial Capabilities
For commercial and government contract work, government-certified welders and fabricators are onsite at Safe Harbor Newport Shipyard to provide welding and fabricating fo military and commercial vessels. The Shipyard has completed government contracts for NOAA, USCG and USN.
Commercial customers include: Modern Continental, Bridgeport-Port Jefferson Ferry, Woods Hole & Martha's Vineyard Steamship Authority, Providence Steamship Co., Clipper Cruise Lines and Interstate Navigation Company.
